edun LIVE (edun-live.com), the ethical t-shirt brand which is part of the company EDUN ((edunonline.com) today announced a strategic partnership with retail platform Zazzle (zazzle.com). The deal empowers users to have a socially conscious voice and help raise awareness, as well as support impoverished regions of Africa through pre-made and customizable edun LIVE products available through Zazzle’s custom on-demand site.

In 2005, EDUN, the socially conscious fashion brand created by Ali Hewson and Bono launched the edun LIVE brand of blank t-shirts. The aim of edun LIVE is to drive sustainable employment in to sub-Saharan Africa through high-volume sales of blank t-shirts to the merchandising and promotional products industries.

The deal marks the first time edun LIVE will enable customization of its blank tees by consumers and further extends the company’s distribution reach online through Zazzle’s retail platform. The edun LIVE gallery on Zazzle will have a variety of graphical images, photographs, and other design content, giving users the ability to purchase existing designs from the Zazzle marketplace. Users will also be able to create, purchase, and even sell their own custom designs on edun LIVE blank tees.

”We are excited to work with edun LIVE and combine EDUN’s sustainable sourcing ethics with Zazzle’s platform,” said James Heckman, chief strategy office, Zazzle. “It is our hope to raise awareness of the benefits that the edun LIVE brand brings to those in need, as well as empower Zazzle users to have not just a voice, but a social voice, through self expression.”

“Every step of the supply chain at edun LIVE goes back to the people working on the product in sub-Saharan Africa, said EDUN CEO Christian Kemp-Griffin. “Zazzle’s revolutionary on-demand platform further empowers these people to have additional income resources and ultimately achieve a better quality of life. At the same time, we are challenging those more fortunate to have a voice and help make a difference.”
