Collector and denim consultant Antonio Di Battista has recently presented his new book “My Archive II” as a collaboration with Crackers Magazine/JPG Edizioni, publishing house and organizer of the Denim Boulevard Italian specialized denim fair.

In 2013, JPG Edizioni had already published Di Battista’s first book “My Archive” presenting photographs of a selection of some of the most inspiring historical denim pieces from his own collection. This second book “My Archive II” was launched during the 2015 edition of Denim Boulevard held from 20 to 22 June 2015 in Milan.

The book focuses on Di Battista own workwear items from end 1800s to 1920s-1930s. It includes accurate photo material of garments and details taken from rare waist overalls, overalls, coveralls, jackets, aprons and toddlers.

“I’m a bit of a strange collector,” Di Battista explained. “I like to collect unknown brands and above all I love very worn-out and patched pieces, aspects that usually decrease their value. The research of the rarest garments of my archives are also fruit of the collaboration with some of most influential collectors of the world such as, for instance, Cory Piehowicz, Michael Harris and, most important, Brit Eaton,” explained Di Battista, while announcing that two more books, focused on different themes, though always related to the vintage denim world, might complete the book series and could be published in the future.
