The second Barcelona edition of Denim By Premiere Vision (read our coverage here) held on 19 and 20 November 2014 recalled almost 4,000 international visitors (3,905 precisely). The result is significantly higher considering that the November 2013 edition welcomed 3,200 industry professionals.

During the recently closed edition, the show presented 98 exhibitors from 20 countries with a majority coming from the Euro-Med zone — 30% from Turkey, 20% from Italy, 8% from Morocco and 3% from Tunisia —plus others from Japan, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Brazil.

72% of the total visitors were international and came from about 60 different countries. The show registered a strong European and Euro-Med zone visitors’ presence. Europe alone represented 70%. After Spain, Turkey had the second largest contingent (13%), followed by Italy (12%), the United Kingdom and France (6.5% each), Germany (6%), Portugal and Belgium (in 11th and 13th position respectively).

Interest from Northern Europe and Scandinavia, specialist markets for premium denim, remained significant and represented 6% of the total visitors. Among the top Northern European visitors were the Netherlands, followed by Sweden and Denmark.
The Middle East and North Africa, with Tunisia and Morocco in front, confirmed the key role of manufacturers, launderers and finishers who came to meet their weaver clients. Though, above all Turkey counted for the second biggest group of visitors.

The Northern American countries also registered a significant increase since visitors from this area grew by 38% when compared with November 2013 attendance figures.
