This month marks the beginning of Daniel Lalonde tenure as CEO of French group SMCP, which owns Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot.
Lalonde will work alongside the four original founders and managers ­– Evelyne Chétrite, Judith Milgrom, Frédéric Biousse and Elie Kouby. The team will focus on accelerating the development of SMCP’s brands and to position them as leading forces within the accessible luxury sector. A man of some industry pedigree, prior to joining SMCP Lalonde served as International President of the Ralph Lauren Corporation, while he also spent 10 years in executive positions at LVMH.
