Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, designers of the celebrated New York label Public School, have signed a contract to become creative directors at DKNY, the young line of US-designer Donna Karan. The duo of New Yorkers will be showing its first womenswear collection for DKNY at New York Fashion Week in September. Menswear is to follow.

Despite of being founded only seven years ago, Public School has already won some of the most prestigious international fashion awards, like the 2015 International Woolmark Prize for menswear and the 12014 CFDA Award for Menswear Design, among others. In their upcoming fall 2015 collection, the brand fused masterfully sartorial elements with sportswear staples like hoodies and outerwear jackets. Generally, Chow and Osborne have a penchant for oversized silhouettes, long line cuts and the colors black, grey and white, with isolated hints of Deco jacquard and brushstroke prints.
