For the 7th time, German shoe retailer Deichmann will hand out an award for disadvantaged teenagers. Deichmann deals with the fact that in Germany around 265,000 people aged under the age of 25 years don’t have a job or an apprenticeship. Companies, public initiatives or schools which support disadvantaged teenagers who don’t find a job, can apply on www.deichmann-foerderpreis.de/. The trophy money is worth a 100,000 Euros altogether; the application deadline is June 30, 2011.

The support of young people truly fits Deichmann’s brand philosophy as the company employs more than 2,700 trainees right now.
