French fashion brand DDP (ddp.fr) has announced Christophe Burguet as its new general manager. Burguet has been with the company since 1999 when he moved there from C17. Before his promotion, he was DDP’s director of style.

In addition, former CEO Thomas Hamelle, who held the position for just over a year, has left “for personal reasons.”

Burguet will be pioneering the growth of the brand overseas with the launch of line DDP Deep Denim for s/s 2008 (pictured above). It debuted earlier this month at Pitti Uomo in Florence and will be presented next week at Bread & Butter in Barcelona. The first collection includes 48 trousers in denim, linen and light materials for men and women. The denim comes in black, in intense blue, washed blue, white and silver. Shapes are slim, fitted and straight cut.

DDP’s sales for 2006 were 53 million Euro.
