DC has partnered up with Agnès B for its Double Label series.

The DC X Agnès B. Double Label shoe, a perfect fusion of both brands, is offered in sesame, blue and black and features the famous French brand’s distinctive signature across the tongue. The premium leather shoe, meanwhile, was developed from DC’s Dress Sneaker and DC’s Pill Pattern outsole. Less than 1,500 pairs of the shoes will be produced and made available exclusively at Agnès B. retail stores and select sneaker boutiques worldwide.

To celebrate the project, the two brands will also present FORWARD 3, a graphic design exhibit. The original FORWARD show was conceived two years ago by DC and REDUX, the leading French art magazine, as a way to showcase personal works by select graphic artists.

DC has supported several REDUX art shows since 2005, including a special French artists’ sneaker customization exhibit in Paris.

The forthcoming FORWARD show and shoe subsequently are scheduled to launch Mar. 5 during Paris Fashion Week at Agnès B’s Rue du Jour store. The exhibit runs through Mar. 18 before traveling to the Agnès B. SoHo shop in New York City. The Stateside exhibit runs from Mar. 31-Apr. 14.

For the next instalment of FORWARD, French artists will not only showcase their personal works but also custom works interpreting the theme of “I Love New York.” Artists include, 123 Klan, Guillaume Abdi, Aurèle, Dada, Delarocca, Dirtlab, Dyane de Sérigny, Erwan & Sophie, Jerk4, Jérôme Molar, Stéphane Kiehl, Koa, Koralie, Luis, Mega, Jean Nipon, Osmoze, Pierre La Police, Prunelle, Spoe, Tabas, Nicolas Thomas, Rachel Cazadamont@H5, Sophie Toporkoff, Supakitch, Amandine Urruty and Greg Vezon.

Agnès B., a leading proponent of contemporary art for over 30 years, has supported hundreds of artists to date, including graffiti stars Futura, JonOne and Aurèle and illustrators such as Erwan & Sophie, Pierre La Police and Abdelkader Benchamma.
