Footwear and apparel brand Converse has officially opened its new global headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts. Located in the historic neighborhood of Lovejoy Wharf along Boston’s iconic Freedom Trail, the ten-story old-brick office building is on a 214,000 square feet (20,000 sqm) Charles River waterfront parcel.

As of May 15, 2015, the new Converse headquarters is also home to brand’s sixth company-owned retail store in the US, located at the footsteps of the building. The new retail space features the Converse Blank Canvas, an in-store customization studio for consumers. Fans of the brand can take part in two different experiences: The “Workshop” where they create their own sneakers by selecting exclusive textiles and signature details available there only, or the “InkBar” where shoppers can embellish shoes purchased in store by screen-printing on footwear from a revolving selection of over 150 graphics or their own original artwork. Sneaker customization start at $75 USD (€66) for the “InkBar” and $150 USD (€132) for the “Workshop.”
