For the second time now, Camper is collaborating with the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI). The result is a limited edition collection of 600 pairs of shoes that are produced entirely in Ethiopia. Each pair comes with a special numbered tag.

Re-interpreting Camper’s very first shoe Camaleon, artisans have given a sporty upgrade to two unisex options; a lace-up shoe and a sandal. Both styles incorporate East African handmade tie-dyed leather and feature a wedge sole of layered leather and white EVA. SS17 color options include dark indigo for men and bright blue for women.

The shoes are sold throughout selected Camper stores in Europe and the US and online. Each pair retail for €185 - €200.
As the flagship program of the International Trade Centre, EFI´s goal is to empower micro-producers in developing countries by connecting them with fashion brands. This partnership creates fair and dignified employment in Ethiopia while also minimizing the impact on the environment.
