Upper casual trade show Capsule is kicking off the spring/summer ’16 season with some novelties for its upcoming menswear shows. 

Firstly, the organizer is introducing a new section, called ‘New America’ at its Paris, New York and Las Vegas shows. New America will spotlight five forward-facing, emerging American brands, still working with domestic factories and craftspeople: 424, Blackfist, Midnight Studios, Rhude, and Second/Layer. 
Additionally, the ‘Darren Skey presents’ are at Capsule New York will host a bunch of labels (including Rochambeau, Martin Asbjorn and Pyer Moss) handpicked by Harvey Nichols’ head of menswear Darren Skey.

In the big apple, Capsule will even give seven designers the chance to showcase their collections at New York Fashion Week:Men’s. The Capsule-produced fashion show will take place on July 16 at Skylight Clarkson Square. It will feature seven independent designers, namely Baartmans and Siegel (UK), Blackfist (USA), Camo (Italy), Cmmn (Sweden), Maiden Nori (USA), Second Layer (USA), and Matthew Miller (UK). 

To further enrich its offerings, Capsule is introducing a panel discussion for its New York and Vegas editions. While the Vegas panel isn’t finalized yet, the New York topic will be ‘Streetwear’s Evolution, Defining the Progressive’, moderated by Bloomingdales’ Josh Peskowitz, running on July 20, 9am at Basketball City.
