Here’s yet another proof that Los Angeles’ significance as a fashion capital is growing: Upmarket trade show Capsule has just announced to add a Los Angeles edition to their portfolio.

In context of the Spring ’17 issue of LA Market Week (October 17-20, 2016), Capsule Los Angeles will showcase contemporary womenswear at the California Market Center in downtown Los Angeles for two days (October 17-18).

“Capsule is heading to Los Angeles in response to a growing demand in our community, particularly from East Coast brands, who wish to show at LA Market due to the high caliber of retailers who attend”, said Deirdre Maloney, Capsule’s co-founder.

Compared to the other Capsule shows in New York, Paris and Las Vegas, the LA edition will be of a more condensed nature, hosting around 100 advanced and progressive apparel brands, but also labels from the categories of active, swim, accessories and lifestyle. It will focus on East coast-based and European labels looking to attract West coast accounts.
