Spanish footwear purveyor Camper turns 40 this year. To celebrate, the brand has teamed up with London’s Design Museum to stage an exhibition entitled Life on Foot.

Aside from highlighting the family-run company’s creative product and history, it also sets out to demystify the process of making a shoe collection – shedding light on everything from research to last carving and shoebox design.

Since Camper is known as something of a store design maverick, the exhibition also houses retail space recreations conceived by the likes of Marti Guixé, Jaimie Hayon and Tokujin Yoshioka. Broadening the theme further, the exhibition explores the potential future of walking. Life on Foot runs until 1 November 2015.
