The CPM - Collection Premiere Moscow will open its doors from September 3-6 2014 at the Expocentre in Moscow, hosting about 1,400 collections from 33 countries on a total space of 52,200 sqm.

On the background of the tense situation in Russia and economic sanctions, the CPM currently registers a decrease of the exhibition space coverage by 15%. “In difficult times, a platform like the CPM is very important. Because of the visa regulations many Russian buyers didn’t have the opportunity to travel to Europe and will come to the CPM in Moscow,” CPM Project Director Christian Kasch states.

Philipp Kronen, managing partner of the Igedo Company (organizer of CPM), wants to keep business as usual as possible: “Despite of the decline in bookings, the interest in the CPM as leading fashion trade show in the Eastern European area is continuing. The Russian specialist retail works on cost reductions and will continue to order because of the slightly recovery of the Russian Ruble. We have to anticipate coming crises in Russia early and respond to them flexibly. We expect a recovery of the market in 2016.”

Amogst the exhibitors will be European names such as Alberto, Lagerfeld, Rich & Royal, Twin Set or Petit Bateau together with Russian brands such as Burvin, Troy or Samos.

There will be around 40 catwalk shows, including shows by Southkorean designers Sujin Kim, Jaewoo Kim and Heezin Jung who celebrate their CPM debut.

The Russian Fashion Retail Forum will for the first time start already on the first trade show day and will be continued with the Russian Lingerie Market Forum on the second day.
