The relaunch of the Düsseldorf womenswear trade fair was a success. With its large, more modern aesthetic, the fair went down well with both exhibitors and visitors. The fair, with about 915 spring/summer collections, attracted over 21,000 trade visitors from 40 countries. In addition to the Gallery and Concept 11 area for high-end brands, the new areas Impulse (in partnership with, Italian Suite (in partnership with Ente Moda Italia) as well as the re-designed area Decorate for high-quality accessories were also received well. The trade fairs in all registered a rise in the number of buyers from the Netherlands and Benelux. Other top countries were Switzerland, United Kingdom, Spain and France. Said Mirjam Dietz, Executive Director Fashion at Igedo Company: “CPD has featured a more modern look and feel. The first step has been taken. We have many ideas in store for the next fair and will bring exciting collections.” The next CPD will be held from Feb. 7-9, 2010.
