Showing no signs of slowing down on the show circuit, BPMW, the New York-based branding agency-turned-trade show maverick, has confirmed plans to move its Vegas footwear show to New York. Scheduled for Feb. 1-2, Compass will run at the Puck Building in SoHo during New York footwear market week. “We had a great run in Las Vegas, but we’ve spoken to the industry leaders — the move to New York was what people wanted,” explained BPMW's Minya Quirk. Launched in July 2008, Compass gained a following for its indie-spirited showcase of directional premium footwear by brands including 80%20, Bensimon, Clae, Florsheim by Duckie Brown, John Varvatos, Palladium, Rachel Comey, Red Wing, Tom’s and Y-3. The next edition of Compass is expected to host 75 men’s and women’s brands for the F/W 10 season.
