Cold Method is launching a new premium line called CM+ for fall/winter 2009. CM+ will build on the success of the core collection, with luxurious cashmere knits, clean lines and timeless elegance infused with vintage finishings and rugged styling.

CM+ is also expected to showcase new innovations in denim, from raw Japanese selvedge to antique-finished, ring-spun denim in a variety of new washes. Tough, authentic workwear and military detailing will additionally be blended with rich, tactile materials and technologically advanced finishes. In terms of style, the CM+ collection will be a juxtaposition of opposites — rough and smooth, oiled and matte, fitted and loose, tough and refined.

Heading the CM design team is British designer Mark Ainsworth, who joined Cold Method earlier this year. “This was an incredible opportunity to contribute to one of Europe’s most exciting brands as it expands globally,” said Ainsworth recently, who previously worked with Paul Smith, Red Ear, R. Newbold, DKNY Jeans, Pepe Jeans, and John Richmond.
