Best known for its affordability and understated sophistication, Amsterdam's Cold Method has named Anders Ardehed COO of the three-year-old, men’s contemporary fashion brand. Ardehed will oversee the brand’s rapid global expansion. Previously the Sales Director at Filippa K, Ardehed says: “I am genuinely looking forward to being part of Cold Method’s future development and have my sights firmly set on continued growth and profitability. With my experience of turning a local brand into a globally recognized brand, I believe that I can make a valuable contribution to the company and add to the expertise of the existing partners.” Founder/creative director of Cold Method Alex Jansen adds: “I’m really thrilled to have Anders onboard. His extensive retail and wholesale experience and his proven track record of expanding Filippa K worldwide is exactly what we need. Cold Method has already established successful wholesale operations in 16 countries and will continue to expand its wholesale operations apace, while also opening its first retail outlets during 2009.” Recently expanding across the US and Australia, Cold Method has approximately 700 points of sale in about 16 countries, including Selfridges in London, and shop-in-shops in Printemps in Paris, Bijenkorf in Amsterdam and Coin in Milan.
