Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has launched a new line for consumers aged 15 to 35. Taking the abbreviated name of his eponymous line, JC/DC, this new ready-to-wear-collection is thought to be “creative with high quality and for an acceptable price for the new generation of the future.”

For the launch collection, the French designer chose the theme of “Punkahontas and the Ducks,” realized in colorful casualwear decorated with the famous figures from Walt Disney Pictures printed on skirts, T-shirts and trousers. The line contains about 100 pieces for men and 100 pieces for women. The price ranges from €45-240. T-shirts will cost about €75 and trousers €165. JC/DC also complements the new accessories line, ”Pop Hours,” Castelbajac developed in collaboration with kids toy-producer Lego.

The new collection is available beginning in Castelbajac’s own stores in Paris (Rue Vauvilliers) and London (Conduit Street) and from the beginning of January 2010 in wider distribution.
