BPMW, organizer of the hip (capsule) New York, Paris and Las Vegas shows, says it is adding a women’s showcase to its roster in New York and an annex for its growing men’s portfolio next spring.

Following the current format, (capsule) women’s, bowing Feb. 22-23, 2010, will offer visiting retailers, buyers and participating designers all the hallmarks that have made (capsule) a global hit, from a top tier brand mix, choice location and cutting-edge aesthetic to its incomparable vibe. Organizers plan to feature a tightly edited group of 60 of the world’s most sought after designers under one roof for the very first time at the Angel Orensanz center, the same iconic venue that plays host to the menswear show.

The flagship men’s show scheduled for Jan.18-19, meanwhile, will undergo changes of its own as the show expands to incorporate a second venue. The Puck Building will offer convenience of location, as well as a chic, historical backdrop for the show. The addition of the Puck Building will allow (capsule), which has had a waiting list for four seasons, to accommodate an additional 75 collections.

(capsule) Las Vegas, Feb. 16-17, will also grow to accommodate demand from top tier designers for a sophisticated environment to show their collections and an alternative to big box shows. That show is expected to host both men’s and women’s collections and an expanded footwear assortment at the Venetian Hotel.

“(capsule) is in growth mode, mirroring the shifting needs of the consumer, who is looking for smaller, creative labels,” said Minya Quirk, co-owner of BPMW. “While the shows are getting bigger, we do not plan to dilute our vision. We will continue to foster our community and scour the world to attract the most innovative designers to participate in our shows.”
