The British Fashion Council (BFC) has proclaimed the ten emerging menswear designers who will receive the Newgen Men support to showcase their F/W 2015 collections during London Collections: Men in January 2015.

As a novelty, ready-to-Wear menswear brand, Vidur will be joining the existing Newgen Men recipients consisting of Agi & Sam (catwalk), Alex Mullins (presentation), Astrid Andersen (catwalk), CMMN SWDN (presentation), Craig Green (catwalk), Diego Vanassibara (installation space), Kit Neale (salon show), Lee Roach (catwalk) and Nasir Mazhar (catwalk).

Caroline Rush, chief executive of the BFC, commented: “Having nurtured many of the UK’s young menswear talent, Newgen Men is also a key component in raising the reputation of British menswear.”

Launched in September 2009, Newgen Men supports emerging menswear talent with business mentoring, financial support and showcasing opportunities at London Collections: Men. The support aspires to build their businesses commercially and help them develop relationships with key press and buyers. The BFC is working with DLA Piper and Baker Tilly to provide legal, commercial and accounting advice for the designers. Fashion chain Topman is the main sponsor of the Newgen Men initiative.
