Boardsports and streetwear retailer Blue Tomato will open up three new stores in the upcoming weeks.

The first opening will take place in Austria, in Vienna’s Shopping City Süd Mall on November 28. It will be followed by two German openings taking place simultaneously on December 13: One at Berlin’s popular Kurfürstendamm and another one at the Centro mall in Oberhausen (North-Rhine Westphalia).

Blue Tomato was founded almost 25 years ago and has its headquarters in Austrian Schladming. With around 450,000 products in its assortment, it is one of the largest online stores for snowboard, freeski, surf and skate merchandise worldwide. Now, the retailer’s strategy is to approach its young customers also via stationary stores in larger cities. Next to shops in Vienna, Graz, Innsbruch, Schladming and Obertauern, Blue Tomato also runs stores in Munich, Rosenheim, Hamburg and Stuttgart. Of the company’s 250 employees, almost 95 work within the retail stores. Customers can opt to have their online order shipped to one of the stores or return their online purchases at stationary stores.
