New moves and partnerships in Berlin’s trade show landscape: As was announced today, the two sustainable fashion platforms Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show Berlin will be moving to the Kraftwerk Berlin venue (ground floor and mezzanine floor) for their upcoming January ’18 edition, after being held at the rather distant Funkhaus Berlin location for one season.

And the Kraftwerk venue will also host another fashion week hot spot: The first floor will be home to the Premium Group’s established #Fashiontech conference on Tuesday, January 16, followed by the newly born conference format “FashionSustain” by Messe Frankfurt (the organizer behind Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show) which will be held there on January 17.

“We move our two shows to the center of Berlin Fashion Week and thereby respond to the multiple requests of our exhibitors and visitors for an improved accessibility,” said Olaf Schmidt, vice president of textiles & textile technologies at Messe Frankfurt. “#Fashiontech brings a truly progressive aspect to enhance our trade show offering. As a partner of the conference and exhibition we can bring in our expertise as organizers of the world-leading Techtextil and Texprocess trade fairs.”

#Fashiontech was launched by the Premium Group in January 2015 and has since been held on the show’s premises at Station Berlin/Kühlhaus. “With up to 4,000 participants attending, #Fashiontech is a successful and internationally recognized event in this domain. It’s a good time to take the format to the next level,” said Anita Tillmann, managing partner Premium Group. “Through the cooperation with Messe Frankfurt and the areal closeness of the ‘fashion,’ ‘tech’ and ‘sustain’ topics, we will prospectively form the hot spot for big players of the industry to discuss and bring forward relevant innovation and sustainability topics.”

Meanwhile Premium’s Show & Order trade show concept, which has formerly been taking place at Kraftwerk, will be integrated in the Premium premises and held in the space left vacant at the Kühlhaus venue. On an area of 2,200 sq. meters spread over six floors, approximately 250 fashion brands (a mixture of  Show & Order brands with matching Premium exhibitors) will be presented together with beauty, interior design and trend presentations.
