Visitors of Berlin Fashion Week and the simultaneously held trade shows can be excited for this year’s edition of the Berliner Mode Salon. From 19-21 January, 2016, the Salon opens its doors for the fourth time at the Kronprinzenpalais in Berlin. On over 2,000 square meters selected German designers and labels will present their fall/winter 2016 collection to national as well as international press and buyers.

Additional to the défilés and the group exhibition, taking place on Wednesday 20 January, 2016, featuring key looks and highlight pieces of the 40 designers in total, the brands Talbot Runhof, René Stock and Sminfinity decided to open their showrooms over the course of three days at the Berliner Mode Salon.

“(…) But all tools wouldn’t be beneficial to us, if the collections didn’t make their way on the market. That’s why we are excited that there will be another Berliner Mode Salon pop-up store in collaboration with the KaDeWe over the course of four weeks,” explains Marcus Kurz, co-initiator of the Berliner Mode Salon.

Participating designers of the upcoming edition of the Berliner Mode Salon include established label Escada, Augustin Teboul, Lala Berlin, Malaikaraiss, Perret Schaad, Marina Hoermanseder and Tim Labenda.

Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show, the trade shows for sustainable and ethical fashion, present their biggest edition yet with over 160 labels exhibiting at the Postbahnhof Berlin. More than 40 of those will present their collections at Greenshowroom, the highest number of exhibitors for the tradeshow, yet. Top-players such as Lanius, Peopletree and Armed Angels, but also Newcomer brands will be present and showcase their upcoming collections.

Along with the fashion shows “Salonshow” (19 January, 3pm) and “Ethical Fashion on Stage” (19 January, 5pm), the trade shows offer a mix of industry talks and panel discussions. A lot of novelties are awaiting visitors of Panorama Berlin this January. First and foremost, the highly-anticipated debut of the Nova concept in hall 9, which follows the same business principle as international concept stores, will display a blend of men’s and women’s apparel collections  together with a selection of beauty products, home accessories and tech-gadgets. Visitors will find brands like Denham, Kuyichi, Original Penguin, Majestic or The Kooples exhibiting at Nova, among others. Hall 8 will be exclusively dedicated to shoes and accessories and offer exhibitors to present these products in context with the seasonal fashion proposals earlier than other fairs specialized in this field. Both newly-added areas (hall 8 and 9) bring in an exhibition space of 10,000 square meters.

Besides the new areas, Panorama Berlin has renovated halls 5 and 6 with new concepts as well. Pop Mart (hall 5) will focus on young fashion and brands like Pepa Loves or Tally Weijl, who will also take part in the show. Eventually, hall 6 introduces the fast-fashion segment called Now, counting names like Please, Imperial, Dixie, Transfer, Anna Justper and Reiko, among others.

Last but not least, international clients and buyers who can’t attend the fair in January will be able to dive in a new digital edition trade show of Panorama, which will roll out only one day after the forthcoming edition closes its doors. There, registered visitors will have the chance to access a 360° online experience while exhibiting brands can show their seasonal presentations for another 180 days, deciding by themselves on the content they want included.

Next week, Selvedge Run goes into its second edition. Under the title „Back to Work“ the fair will again present a vast spectrum of “brands with character”, as they call their choice of exhibitors, displaying menswear, shoes and accessories. To be able to exhibit at the trade show, brands have to meet at least one of the three criteria Selvedge Run has developed, including a strong brand history, longevity instead of a fast fashion approach and a passion for manufacturing. For this season, the tradeshow chose to change location and move from Urban Spree to the Kulturbrauerei Berlin. Brands that will be showing their collections at the unique fair include Edwin, Red Wing Heritage, Indigo People, Brooklyn Soap Co. and Livid Jeans.
