Benetton is launching Sport Collection, a new line that includes sweatshirts, t-shirts, tank tops, leggings, hot pants and hooded jackets made with 80% merino wool and other natural fibers all treated with technical finishes.

Part of this collection is the Seamless Merino project, a new knitwear selection employing a new yarn technology. The project is aimed at men and women and offers four basic pieces meant to be worn when training open air. It includes a running vest and leggings for women, and a running vest and stretch shorts for men. All garments are made with merino wool, a highly elastic and resistant fiber whose natural proteins have antibacterial and anti-allergic properties.

Some special bands of merino wool are applied on these garments’ back and front and guarantee optimum support and a constant body temperature. In addition, every garment has no seams in order to avoid body frictions and enhance the freedom of movement.

As part of the launch of this new project, Benetton will be sponsoring and presenting The Color Run, a stop-over marathon starting in Turin on 30 April and ending in Milan on 3 September 2016. The Sport Collection will be sold through selected United Colors Of Benetton stores from April 2016.
