Benetton Group has recently announced the acquisition of three new managers, all of whom experts with extensive experience on their fields: franchising, wholesale and retail.

Marco Messini is the new chief distribution & sales officer of United Colors of Benetton. He has previously worked for VF Corporation, as vice president of EMEA Franchising for all of the group’s brands (Timberland, The North Face, Vans, Napapijri, Wrangler, Lee and Kipling). He also served as general manager EMEA for Timberland and, previously, was sales director for Diadora and Invicta.

John Mollanger is the new chief product & marketing officer of United Colors of Benetton. He previously served as the head of product and marketing for Asics in Japan, after having held similar positions at Nike and Puma in the US and then in Europe. He has extensive understanding and knowledge of consumers and major international markets.

Piero Maldini is the new retail director for United Colors of Benetton. Since 2011 to date, he was chief operating officer of Holding dei Giochi, retail arm of Giochi Preziosi Group, Italian toy specialist, where he strengthened the Group’s leadership in Europe. He previously worked for Autogrill, Gruppo Coin and UPIM (a Gruppo Coin brand), overseeing the retail and franchise networks.
