Roksanda Ilincic, the London-based designer celebrated for her couture-like dresses, has teamed up with the revived British retailer Whistles and as the September launch of the collaborative line approaches, anticipation is high. Soon to arrive in stores across the UK, the collection consists of seven dresses that displays Ilincic’s distinct knack of contemporary decadence but at more recession-friendly prices (£175-£300). With industry hotshot Jane Sheperdson at the helm of Whistles since its buyout from Mosaic Fashions in 2008, though, we suspect this won’t be the last high-profile designer collaboration to fall into the hands of the nouveau hip retailer.
