The British Fashion Council couldn’t have hoped for a better 25th anniversary present: both Burberry and Matthew Williamson have decided to show their S/S 2010 collections at London Fashion Week in September, leaving behind Milan and New York respectively. “The return of labels such as Burberry and Matthew Williamson will further strengthen the extraordinary showcase of innovative design during London Fashion Week,” enthused Harold Tillman, Chairman of the British Fashion Council. Not only will Burberry and Williamson’s moves coincide with BFC’s 25th anniversary, but their anticipated homecoming also marks LFW’s relocation to its new home at Somerset House in central London. London Fashion Week will run from Sept. 18-22, 2009.
