Comune is the new menswear collection by the former makers of Ambiguous, designed to fill the gap in the marketplace for affordable sport-street looks. “Kids can still get stuff that looks high-end,” explains Chris Thomas, Marketing Director for the brand. Indeed, aside from the most expensive item, an oxblood stonewashed faux leather jacket with perforated detailing, topping out at $168, the line also includes a fashion-forward scoop-neck heavy gauge irregular two-tone sweater, a French terry hoodie with an asymmetrical front zip, a waxed denim jacket with blacked out hardware, and four fits of bottoms from $68-78 at retail. For its soft launch this spring, three denims and 15 T-shirts will break in select active/ride stores including The Closet; for fall the brand is targeting retailers such as American Rag, Bloomingdale’s, Urban Outfitters and other action sports retailers.
