Sabanci Holding has signed a stock transfer agreement for the complete sale of Bossa to Faruk Ebubekir. The Turkish entrepreneur owns various businesses, including Akkardan, a manufacturer of commercial vehicle equipment, that was purchased from Sabanci about five years ago. Bossa’s value, according to the stock transfer agreement signed, is $152.5 million (USD). Approximately half is said to be the selling price of Sabanci Holding stock. Transfer of Bossa’s stock will occur upon regulatory approval. Bossa was founded in 1951 and produces fabrics for jeanswear, sportswear and casual wear, as well as formalwear and shirting. It employs 2,800 people and had net sales of $253 million (USD) in 2007.
