It’s a phenomenon: Miles away from home, the own heritage and traditions become much more important and visible than they are while you stay at home. This fact has inspired British label Ben Sherman for its new Plectrum by Ben Sherman collection and campaign for fall/winter 2011/12. In cooperation with lifestyle magazine Dazed & Confused, the company has found some creative, young Britons who have chosen New York as their adopted city. Ben Sherman gave them some key pieces of their collection which they can wear and combine in their own way. The results of Ben Sherman’s campaign called an ‘Englishman in New York’ are presented in the Dazed & Confused September issue as well as on Dazed Digital via video streams and social media.
