The ‘80s aesthetic was big at the Micam (micamonline.com) shoe-show this season, which took place 20th – 23rd September: Neon colors, tulle, net and geometric patterns accented the young footwear for S/S 2008. Vagabond(vagabond.com) presented ballerina flats, sneakers and short-boots in neon pink, green and orange, Fornarina(fornarina.it) completes its fresh multicolored footwear with ‘80s-style belts that come with strawberry- and butterfly-buckles, and Blaze(blaze-shoes.co.jp) featured an all neon-orange plaited sandal for girls. Other brands set on feminine wonderland-styles and played with the form and height of heels, ornament, colors and fantastical creature prints like those seen at Miss L-Fire(misslfire.com), Irregular Choice(irregularchoice.co.uk) and Emma Hope (emmahope.co.uk).

The fair registered record attendance figures: 4.8% more buyers - 46.313 in total – came to see the 1,667 innovative international collections. About 22,623 of them came from abroad – from Japan, Germany, Spain, France, Russia and Great Britain – a growth of 5.1 % of the international buyers compared to the previous year.
