Last week marked the celebratory opening of the second retail store for Assembly. Known by their array of independent design, jewelry, accessories and vintage, Assembly also produces a much sought after namesake collection. CEO and Designer Greg Armas adds this west coast locale to his already successful New York location, giving what he calls “a west coast feel to an east coast mentality.”

The Melrose Los Angeles venue touts solid marble, exposed construction and found object placement. Opening night party guests sipped drinks and listened to live musical performances from the roster of Not Not Fun records recording label. Partiers browsed wares from designers such as Sandy Liang, CF Goldman, 69, Feit and Nektar de Stagni as well as the much anticipated Assembly shoe collection which won’t officially launch until summer.

The upside down Assembly logo on the side of the building is sure to be a conversation starter throughout the West LA retail scene.
