Italian entrepreneur Matteo Marzotto has just acquired a minority stake in the Dondup brand and was appointed its new president. Its former president Massimo Berloni will remain with the brand as honorary president. Manuela Mariotti, who co-founded the brand in 1999 with Berloni, will remain creative director. 

In 2010, LCapital (now L Catterton) had entered the brand and became majority owner in 2015. The buy-in of former Valentino president Matteo Marzotto with his long experience in the textile, fashion and luxury businesses is part of a clear positioning and global development strategy by Dondup.
