Alfred Gutekunst will leave his position as chief financial officer of Wöhrl on September 30 after having worked for the German department store since 2008. Olivier Wöhrl, chairman of Wöhrl AG., stated: “Alfred Gutekunst has done considerable work at Rudolf Wöhrl AG. Through his initiatives, he set the right course needed to meet the challenges of our changing trade.”

With Gutekunst’s departure, Wöhrl plans to reframe its management structure and organisation in an attempt to strengthen the company and make it more efficient for the future. The company runs department stores in 38 locations in Germany and will celebrate its 80th anniversary in the coming year.
