New entry at Four Marketing: The company has completed the purchase of outerwear brands Penfield and Cape Heights from CEO and Creative Director James Barshall.

Penfield, which was founded in Hudson, Massachusetts in 1975 is known for producing high quality fashionable, functional outerwear embodying the New England aesthetic. Barshall acquired the brand in 2005 from Harvey Gross, a pioneering figure in the outerwear industry.

Cape Heights was established in the ‘90s but had been dormant for a number of years before being re-launched in 2011, primarily for the demanding Japanese market and with a focus on down jackets for high-end independent retailers including Isetan, Ron Herman Japan and Journal Standard.

Penfield and Cape Heights are distributed worldwide via department stores and premium independents. Four Marketing is an international premium fashion agency representing over 30 brands including Stone Island, CP Company, Paul & Shark and Velvet by Graham & Spencer.

For each of these brands the company owns the flag ship retail store together with the relevant e-commerce site. Four Marketing also owns the new multi-brand store 18montrose which launched early this year.
