Color blocking and Neon
Courage for colors and contrasts is the motto! Color Blocking is a big issue, especially in shades such as orange, intensive blue or bright pink. In addition, not only color blocking but also eye-catching bags held in just one statement color are on the rise again.

The smaller the better
Bucket bags in all versions are experiencing a great comeback, as well as extra-small backpacks and tiny crossbody bags. Hyped all around the world, the famous MCM backpack serves as inspiration for many labels which now introduce their own interpretation of the popular it-piece. Fashion icons and bloggers like Chiara Ferragni or Alexa Chung bet on those super small bags since 2013 already, and now they can be seen literally everywhere.

Dark floral prints
Floral prints are on the rise once again! However, the color palette is held darker than ever before and varies from black to grey or navy and dark blue shades – once playful, feminine and colorful, they now come along gloomy and exotic instead.

Texture games
Weaved bags are the latest thing! Many brands play with different textures and create unusual combinations for the upcoming spring/summer season. However, the trend is towards betting on simple shapes and muted colors like navy, olive green or beige in order to keep it classy and simple.

High-functionality
Cell phone, laptop, tablet, newspaper, a bottle of water – there is so much we have to pack in our bags while being on a business trip or even on a relaxed weekend getaway. That’s why the current trend is towards high-functional backpacks with many compartments of different sizes: they allow us to perfectly organize our belongings and to look chic at the same time.

70s-inspired
Inspired by music festivals and the 70s, boho-bags with fringes or rough leather details continue to be the trend that has already stirred up the fashion industry in the last year. There is no way of overlooking the brown and black totes and crossbody bags as well as tiny colorful printed bucket bags with pompoms.

Stripes
Nautical details and blue or red white stripes are all-time classics. They now appear on duffel bags or backpacks as well as on shoppers or satchel bags. Although not very innovative, you can never go wrong a nautical-inspired bag!
