Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) has partnered up with PeclersParis, the influential French agency best known for its trendforecasting, to provide color and design direction for the Woolmark portfolio. Effective immediately, Peclers’ team of fashion experts and trend forecasters will work with Woolmark licenses on a color palette with yarn and fabric design direction for the fall/winter 2010-2011 retail seasons. “This new partnership with Peclers is a key element of our global demand-building strategy for Australian Merino fiber,” says Craig Welsh, CEO of AWI. “Partnering with Peclers is a major research and development project for the wool supply chain and provides an additional element to the marketing support given to our business partners.” AWI, a not-for-profit company funded by more than 30,000 wool growers, is working towards reviving the Woolmark brand globally and building a strong future for Australian Merino wool.
