A new collaborative venture has surfaced: wildchild Amy Winehouse has been brought in to design a womenswear range for the British cult label Fred Perry. Anyone familiar with Winehouse’s distinctive style knows that the Fred Perry polo shirt is almost as much of a trademark as her signature beehive, and that’s the very reason why the Fred Perry team decided to approach the singer. Set to run for four seasons in total, the premier outing of the collaboration saw Winehouse leaving her creative mark on garments such as jumper dresses, jackets and polo shirts. All in all, 17 pieces form part of the range and it will be sold in Fred Perry stores and select concessions come fall 2010. Retail prices start at about £20.
