It’s all about partnerships: AG Adriano Goldschmied, the Los Angeles—based premium denim brand, has announced the winning design of its forthcoming collaboration with women’s brand Calypso St. Barth and revealed that it will release a men’s collaborative capsule collection with golf brand Travis Matthew in August 2012.

AG partnered with 20-year-old resortwear line Calypso St. Barth last month and sponsored an online crowdsourcing contest wherein participants could select their favorite pattern on Pinterest for a pair of printed jeans. Of the three handpainted patterns created by Calypso St. Barth creative director Elisa Miller, the “Distracted Zebra” one was repinned the most and will therefore appear on a pair of jeans to sold exclusively at Calypso St. Barth’s brick-and-mortar stores and online shop starting in August.

“We are especially excited to embark on a new way of reaching out to our customers through Pinterest,” says Samuel Ku, AG’s creative director. “In this age of me-commerce, co-creation and increased personalization, we are excited to be able to communicate and cater to the tastes of social-media—savvy contemporary women.”

On the men’s side, AG is partnering with golf brand Travis Mathew for a capsule denim collection of six jeans variations of AG’s “Protége” style that will sell at “green grass” luxury pro golf shops starting in August 2012 for $188 to $198 each.

"AG is a true leader in the premium denim world and a natural fit for Travis Mathew to work with when introducing denim into the world of golf,” says Chris Rosaasen, Travis Mathew’s president and creative director. “Quality, comfort, attention to detail and a customer that cares about how he looks are just a few of the things our two companies share in common. I'm excited for our customer to see what we have created.”
