Abercrombie & Fitch will open a new store in Hamburg, Germany at Poststrasse 11 on the morning of April 28. The flagship store is the brand’s second German branch; Abercrombie & Fitch and Abercrombie Kids opened in Duesseldorf in December 2011.
TextilWirtschaft reported that while A&F subsidiary Hollister continues its roll-out, Abercrombie & Fitch remains cautious with further Europe expansion. Just recently, the company pulled back its plans to open a store in Frankfurt's One Goethe Plaza, a decision that allegedly came from the Duesseldorf shop’s supposed revenue of less than €25,000 per sqm. Another Abercrombie & Fitch store is scheduled to open in Munich this fall.
