A Bathing Ape is re-launching its one and only European store based in London. Following its temporary six-month residence at Nowhere, Dover Street Market, the Japanese streetwear brand will move back to Soho. The new store will open at 4 Upper James Street this Saturday, Jul. 18.

The store, commissioned by Bape Founder Nigo, has been designed by Masamichi Katayama, founder of the interior design firm Wonderwall that has collaborated with Bape on its stores throughout the world. The New York, London and Los Angeles stores remain the only retail environments outside of Asia.

The brand new store has been re-built within its former 4 Upper James Street premises to Nigo's exacting standards using aluminum, stainless steel and neon materials to create a spacious retail environment within 750 sq. feet, reflecting the aesthetic for clean lines with a certain playfulness.

The shop will stock limited edition basic items such as T-shirts, jeans, and hoodies which constitute the core of A Bathing Ape as a brand, with a number of exclusive items only available to purchase in the UK, including T-shirts, Bapesta and other Bape footwear. The main focus will be on all aspects of menswear, including tailored pieces, shirting, watches, ties, socks and underwear.
