080 Barcelona Fashion, the Catalonian avant-garde platform for young, emerging and independent designers, has confirmed its show dates for the F/W 2009 season. The third edition of the show, now open to international designers, will be held from Mar. 16-18 and comprise three days of women’s and men’s catwalk shows and showroom viewings.

Expected to show on the catwalk are Aminaka Wilmont (Denmark/Sweden), Andrea Llosa (Peru), Bambi by Laura (Catalonia), Cecilia Sörensen (Finland), Factoria Rent Me (Catalonia), Georgina Vendrell (Catalonia), Gori de Palma (Catalonia), Justin Smith (UK), Klavers Van Engelen (The Netherlands), Maikel Bongaerts (The Netherlands), Manuel Bolaño (Spain), Mareunol’s (Latvia), Mark Fast (Canada), Martin Lamothe (Catalonia), Material by Product (Australia), Miriam Ponsa (Catalonia), Pelican Avenue (Austria), Postweiler Hauber (Germany), Seiko Taki (Japan), Txell Miras (Catalonia) and Zazo & Brull (Catalonia).

080 Barcelona Fashion is also hosting for the second time a collective show of designers from Projecte Bressol. A separate €20,000 prize for best in show offered by the Government of Catalonia will be handed out on the last day of the event. Judges of the first 080 Barcelona Fashion Award include fashion insiders such as Vicki Beamon (Creative Director, Erickson-Beamon), Jean-Luc Dupont (Founder, Système D), Frédéric Martin-Bernard (Men’s Fashion Editor, Le Figaro) and Robin Schulié (Head Buyer, Maria Luisa).
