Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.) has hired Carrie Ask to join the company as executive vice president and president of global retail, effective February 16, 2016.

Ask will be responsible for leading and growing all aspects of the company’s global retail business, currently encompassing 2,700 owned and operatied stores, franchise stores and outlet stores. She will report to Chip Bergh, president and CEO of LS&Co.

Carrie Ask joins the denim giant from Nike, Inc. where she was vice president and general manager for Nike Stores North America. She previously held leadership positions at the Nike subsidiary Converse plus held retail and merchandising positions at Petco, Target Corporation and BC Natural Foods. However, the manager followed a different passion before fully turning her head into business and economics: In the ‘90s, Ask served in the United States Navy as an officer in the Civil Engineer Corps and received a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the US Naval Academy.
