Cheap Monday: First own store in Paris

Swedish jeans and fashion brand Cheap Monday is opening its first store in Paris next Friday 11th of April, as part of the label’s strategy to establish shops in the world’s most influential fashion cities. Located on 121 Rue Vieille du Temple in the Marais district, the new retail space has a shopping area of approx. 200 sqm and aims to satisfy the increasing demand of Cheap Monday products in France. The store will stock a complete Cheap Monday-range with women's, men's and jeans collections, together with accessories, shoes and underwear, and will also be featuring pre- and in-season deliveries.

The Swedish architect and design office Uglycute created the interior concept, consisting of an end-of-century entrance floor and old stone walls in the basement level. These elements are found side by side with the acoustic plastered under-roofing and a grey rubber floor, which was lifted straight from a weightlifting arena. Colors range between grey and beige.

Cheap Monday celebrates its tenth brand anniversary this month. On the occasion of the store opening, the brand will release a limited capsule collection with Paris-inspired motifs, consisting of jeans, skirt, jacket, shirt, t-shirts and accessories. Key pieces are the denim jacket/pants and skirt with a Mona Lisa all-over print.

Cheap Monday belongs to the H&M Group and is represented in more than 35 countries through approximately 2,000 stores across the world. Additionally to the imminent shop in Paris, the brand owns retail spaces in cities such as London, Copenhagen, Beijing and Shenyang.
