Lee Cooper celebrates new Campaign and Collection
Denim brand Lee Cooper has launched its latest campaign and Spring/Summer 2014 collection during a summer garden party at The Grove resort in Hertfordshire outside of London last week.
The event was attended by the brand’s 46 global licensees and selected press representatives and was held in a quintessential British style in tune with the S/S14 design direction, which cites the traditional British summer fair as its key influence. A sunny meadow featuring red and white striped stalls and colourful bunting set the scene for the event, which encouraged guests to get ‘hands on’ with craftsmanship through a series of informal workshops including leather work, bunting making and block stamp printing.
The attendants were encouraged to take part in some crafting activities
For the S/S14 campaign, Lee Cooper again focuses on its The Makers concept, where the stories of different creative talents (many of them from Lee Cooper’s home ground of East London) are told in a subtext with the clothing these makers wear. A selection of current and past Lee Cooper Makers were present at the summer garden party.
The highlight of the relaxed evening was the alternative fashion presentation of Lee Cooper’s S/S14 collections which was introduced by Seth Horowitz, President of the men’s division at Iconix Brands Group. Live music by seven piece folk-rock collective Flight Brigade provided the soundtrack as 16 models dressed head to toe in Lee Cooper emerged one by one from the distance to join them on stage.
Lee Cooper’s CEO Andy Dunkley said of the event: “We always like to give our partners from around the world a special event that also reflects our fantastic heritage. Having a festival in the meadow of our hotel was the perfect way to have a great time and launch our collection at an event that will have a long lasting impression on all of those who were involved.”
Lee Cooper is today sold in over 90 countries worldwide via a global network of licensees.
