It’s that time of year again when a large portion of the North American fashion industry migrates to Las Vegas for the latest round of trade shows. Here is a brief guide to the key ones worth visiting these next few days….

February 13-15, Las Vegas Convention Center
With 1,400 new exhibitors and attendance up at least 10% from least season, MAGIC continues to grow. Some highlights include designer Betsey Johnson personally presenting her line, The WWDMAGIC Buzz Boutique showcasing tools for digital marketing, the Emerging Designer Showcase displaying up-and-coming designers in the Launch Pad area and the return of Heart of Pret, MAGIC’s collaboration with French fashion mainstay Pret a Port. Doubled in size, Pret will debut more than 30 top European designers.

February 13-15, Mandalay Bay
Now in its ninth year, Project builds its community-like street setting to bring directional brands to independent and established retailers. This season, highlights include Project Wooster, which will spotlight specific hand-chosen Japanese brands including Visvim, Mando, Kapital and United Arrows; the updated Work + Play area which will now combine the now famous Project Workroom with a relaxing lounge area; and the new social media hub called The Social Project. In this hub, blogger Marcus Troy hosts 13 of the world’s top bloggers. The Social Project will also include a full-scale photo studio by Sandbox Studio, which will produce look books, still lives and portraits directly from the show floor. A new brand to the show is Tears of Bleu, a denim line tailored in Japan and finished in Los Angeles. It is designed by Caius Olowu, who previously worked at True Religion.

February 13-15, Mandalay Bay Convention Center
The art and design show for emerging brands has a lot on tap this season. The Pool Trend Talk presents a live, interactive trend forecast for retailers while the Style Stalker Photo Booth snaps some worthy poses. Art Kills artists will paint a live mural while retailers and exhibitors listen to DJ tunes and chill in one of the show’s nine lounges, including: The Dynomighty Mighty Wallet Lounge where you can design your own wallet, The Design a Sprout Watch Lounge which will host a contest for the best design and the Headline Shirts “Greetings from Mars” space-themed area.

February 13-15, Wynn Hotel
This carefully curated show featuring key brands in premium denim and contemporary womenswear, menswear and accessories returns to its elegant setting of über-elegant Wynn Hotel and continues to cater to the better specialty retailer. Brands to see include Agave Denim, which is marking its 10th anniversary this year, and Hudson, which is again co-sponsoring the opening night party this evening.

February 12-13, Sands Expo
Produced by sales and PR agency BPMW, Capsule’s Las Vegas version will have a short, two-day run at The Sands Expo at The Venetian. Like its New York, Paris and Berlin versions, the show will showcase cutting-edge men’s and women’s brands and feature more than 250 exhibitors. Above Tree Line, a special section devoted to outdoor labels which debuted at the January New York show, will also be featured in Las Vegas.

February 12-14, Venetian Hotel
MRket, the showcase of better and traditional menswear, will have its biggest edition in Vegas yet with more than 550 booths and will be directly linked to producer Business Journals’ other simultaneous sister shows, Moda and Accessories The Show. Key exhibitors will be Weatherproof and Robert Graham. Industry insider Michael Macko will again pick his favorite pieces from the show and feature them in a special section.
