Victorinox AG, based in Switzerland, will strategically expand the global retail presence of own flagship and brand stores. Joachim Beer, former president of Hugo Boss USA fashions, Inc., will take the helm of the Victorinox Global Fashion and retail division as president. The first flagship store with 500 sqm will open on January 22, 2011, on Düsseldorf’s Königsallee. Further stores with about 450 sqm are to follow in London and Geneva, and five stores in the United States. Beer is responsible for the expansion of the retail business and the fashion collection.

The Victorinox fashion collection was originally developed for the North American market in 2001 and has established itself as a label with a unique character. The fashion division has its headquarters in New York with 30 employees. The fashion collection focuses on menswear, has a functional and technical design, with having a more urban character in the next season. The distribution of Victorinox fashion is exclusively selected, including their own flagship stores.

Victorinox was founded in 1884 and is the marketer of Swiss army knives. Product categories are Swiss knives, professional cutlery, timewear, travelgear, fragrances and fashion.
