Show report: Seek succeeds

For the last three days, Seek at Kühlhaus Berlin was THE place to be for all upscale street and contemporary brands and buyers.
The very well visited and received trade show hosted around 50 brands on 4 floors around the central atrium. Exhibitors varied from American streetwear grandeurs like Billionarie Boys Club or Russell Athletic, to German fast climbers such as A Kind of Guise, Airbag Craftworks or Brosbi to progressive European names like V Ave Shoe Repair or Kidda Christopher Shannon.

Exhibitors again highlighted the easy-going, family-like atmosphere of the show and the organisation behind it. Both returning Seek partners like Velour as well as newcomers such as Brosbi were satisfied. Yves-Oliver Wilke of fashion and lifestyle label Brosbi commented: “This is the first time we have exhibited at a trade show and the response has been great. We did receive orders on-site and also met some really promising big clients.” Craig Ford of A Number of Names who was exhibiting on the ground floor with brands such as Billionaire Boys Club, Icecream, Hall of Fame, Bee Line or Gourmet footwear said: “The Seek trade show last summer was probably the best trade show we ever had. This show was a little less successful than the last one but of course our expectations were very high.”
Jason McKey of Farah (Perry Ellis Europe) stated: “The show helps us to further develop our brand outside of the UK. We received orders both for our classic Farah line as well as for the younger Farah Vintage collection.”
Cheap Monday was exhibiting their new Jeggings, Boxfresh their very aspirational fashion capsule collection 25, Puma their collaborations with BWGH and House of Hackney, storm proof design umbrellas were to be found at Senz.
Herbert Hofmann of Berlin’s Voo Store said: “We meet many of the brands we stock here although we mostly order afterwards in Copenhagen. But Seek is perfect to take a pre-look and also discover some newcomers and surprise brands!”
