About 13,200 visitors attended CPD Signatures in Düsseldorf for placing their orders for s/s 2012. Compared to the first edition of the show with 15,000 visitors, the fair this time registered a minus of 12% in visitors. For the first time, the fair started on Saturday and ended on Monday (July 23-25). Visitors now found clearer segmentation and all areas were well-attended, according to organizers of the fair. About 410 exhibitors were showing their new collections. One highlight was the extraordinary installation by designer Dawid Tomaszewski. Most visitors came from abroad – Eastern Europe, Lebanon, the Near East and Middle East. Philipp Kronen, Managing Partner of Igedo Company, said: “Ordering was good. Exhibitors were satisfied.”

But not all exhibitors were really happy in Düsseldorf. “Saturday was very quiet,” commented Lutz Mai, HIS Jeans. Also Cipo & Baxx and Justing Jeans were missing visitors on Saturday. For many exhibitors, expectations were not fulfilled. Sunday was better, but in general there was still less traffic at the second edition of CPD Signatures than at the first. Rare London had its debut at Signatures and presented fashion for women. Aside the fair ground, there was a lot of fashion traffic. The Fashion House, the showrooms at Kaiserswerther Strasse, Gerry Weber’s hall 29, and the fashion district at Düsseldorf Hafen were frequented very well.

Moreover, organizers of Premium Order Düsseldorf with 350 collections and order fair Supreme by Munichfashion with 300 collections were satisfied with the order weekend.

The next edition of CPD Signatures will take place February 4-6, 2012.
